ACPS Anterior Cervical Plates

Short Description:

Anterior cervical plating is commonly performed to stabilize anterior cervical fusions. Modern plating options include dynamic plates, with screws that can either toggle within fixed holes or translate within slotted holes.

Indications

A cervical plate is a medically designed implant used during spinal instrumentation and fusion procedures to provide neck stability. Cervical plates enhance the rate of fusion and, in some cases, may reduce the need for external bracing following surgery.

Indications for surgery include intractable pain, progressive neurologic deficits, and documented compression of nerve roots or of the spinal cord that leads to progressive symptoms. Surgery has not been proven to help neck pain and/or suboccipital pain.

Products Advantages

Anterior Cervical Plate
Center line alignment groove design
Large bone graft window for easy observation of bone graft
Pre-curved steel plate, in line with the physiological curve of the cervical spine
Low-cut edge design, thickness 2.2mm

Anterior Cervical Screw
Self-tapping screws to reduce the use of wire taps
Distinguish screws by color, quickly distinguish diameter and type
Fixed angle screws and adjustable angle screws are used together for different indications

Medical Tips

The composition of the cervical spine
The cervical vertebrae and the skull constitute the occipital-cervical joint, with physiological lordosis, divided into upper cervical vertebrae (C1, C2) and lower cervical vertebrae (C3-C7)

ACPS development history
In 1964, Bohler reported the first case of anterior cervical application of plate screws to the treatment of lower cervical spine fractures.
In the 70s of the 20th century, Orzco and Tapies applied the AO short-segment H-shaped plate to the anterior cervical fixation.
In 1986, Morsche and other AO scholars first designed the Cervical spine locking plate (CSLP).

Indications (C2-T1)
Trauma, cervical degenerative disease, tumor, deformity, false joint formation, combined anterior and posterior surgery

Skills
Plate-fixed nail assembly: Restrictive system is suitable for strong fixation of trauma and tumor cases.
Plate-adjustable nail assembly: semi-restrictive system, which can place screws at multiple angles according to the intraoperative anatomy, and allows load sharing between the bone graft block and the nail plate structure; suitable for postoperative fixation of cervical degenerative diseases.

Steel plate-mixed assembly:
The type of structure can be determined according to the anatomy or indications during the operation.
Increase operational flexibility and better adapt to surgical needs.
